Who Is Corydon ?
I’m Corydon, the artist, maker, and storyteller behind Puppets Over People. For years, creativity has been my outlet, my passion, and my way of reconnecting with the magic we all felt as kids. What began as a simple love for puppets and costume building has grown into a brand dedicated to imagination, craftsmanship, and illusion.
I build everything by hand — from lifelike creature puppets and character-driven personalities to award-winning cosplays and hidden harness systems that make illusions feel real. My goal is always the same: to create that moment when someone sees a puppet move, or a creature breathe, and their eyes light up because they believe in the magic happening right in front of them.
Along the way, I’ve created a full cast of original puppets with big personalities, launched a YouTube workshop to teach others the craft, started developing patterns for makers around the world, and built a 700-square-foot craft room dedicated solely to puppets and cosplay.
Puppetry and cosplay are more than hobbies for me — they’re a way to share joy, humor, and creativity with others. Through every project, every performance, and every tutorial, I want to inspire people to dream, build, and discover that magic is something we can choose to create.
My mission is to make puppetry accessible for everyone—especially kids—by creating build-it-yourself puppet boxes that let any child design, build, and bring their own character to life. Every kid deserves that spark of magic the moment a puppet moves in their hands..
I want anyone who dreams of making a puppet to feel like they can. Through my tutorials and behind-the-scenes videos, I’m sharing everything I know so makers of any age or skill level can jump in and build something magical.
I also want to bring more puppets into the cosplay world—showing how illusion and character performance can totally transform the way we tell stories, both on the con floor and beyond.
Everything I create—whether it’s a build box, a tutorial, a puppet, or an illusion—is driven by one goal: to share creativity, inspire imagination, and bring a little more real-life magic into the world.
